The passing of a legend and former ROAR volunteer - Gene Husting

The ROAR staff is saddened to learn of the passing of an icon in the RC hobby Gene Husting. The former co-owner of Team Associated was a pivotal figure in the formation and growth of the sanctioning organizations in the US and internationally, ROAR and IFMAR. In addition to his efforts to promote ROAR in its early years, Gene also served as Vice President of ROAR for a number of years.
Gene's tireless efforts and enthusiasm for RC racing are manifest in the continued growth of RC racing around the world through the organizations he helped to establish. We are all the benefactors of the hard work of a handful of pioneers that included the interminable spirit of Gene Husting, and for that, we are eternally grateful. The volunteers of ROAR extend their best wishes and sincere condolences to the Husting family and close friends.
