EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OPENINGS

ROAR is seeking to fill two open positions on the Executive Committee; Competition Director and Secretary. Both positions are established in the Bylaws as voting members of the Executive Committee and, together with other members of the Executive Committee, are responsible for the control and management of the business affairs of ROAR. The Bylaws establish the following eligibility requirements for these positions:
The applicant must be 25 years or older at the time of taking office; they must be a current ROAR member, and have been a ROAR member in good standing, for a minimum of one year prior to time of nomination or proposed appointment.

COMPETITION DIRECTOR
The Competition Director is responsible for soliciting and reviewing bids for National events and forwarding them to the Executive Committee for selection of the venue. The Competition Director will then serve as the primary contact for the selected venues and will coordinate execution of a Host Agreement, selection of event dates, development of race flyers and approval of any requested rules deviations.
The Competition Director will also oversee standards of competition and will perform and oversee in general all duties incident to that office and such other duties as will be required by these Bylaws, or which will be assigned by the Executive Committee or the President, including, but not limited to, the preparation of written standards for all levels of sanctioned competition. Developing standards for track design, advising on safety standards, and providing assistance to clubs and tracks.
SECRETARY
The Secretary/Treasurer will oversee the official records and will perform and/or oversee in general all duties incident to the Office of Secretary/Treasurer and such other duties as will be required by these Bylaws, or which will be assigned by the Executive Committee or the President. The Secretary will record minutes of Executive Committee meetings and provide other reports and records as may be required.
