Invitation letters are being emailed to the address on the ROAR membership records for those drivers who have qualified for a spot on the ROAR Team for the 2020 IFMAR 1/8 IC Off Road World Championship being held at RCCM track in Cianorte, Brazil. https://www.rccm.com.br  The stage one report can be found here https://www.ifmar.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Cianorte_Report1_2.pdf

Invitations are based on final results from the 2019 ROAR Fuel Off Road National Championship held at Hutto, TX.

It is strongly advised that those drivers who receive qualified invites return their completed form with payment as quickly as possible to guarantee your spot.

IFMAR has changed the allocation process from those used in the past. ROAR received an initial allocation of 15 spots and then applied for and received 10 more for a total of 25 spots as of today. The top 25 finishers from last year’s nationals in Hutto will receive Qualified Driver Invitations through email starting 3/5/2020. In keeping with the ROAR Executive Committees’ decision to extend first right invitations to those drivers who qualified for the semi finals and the TQ from 2019 nationals in Hutto, TX, the drivers who finished 26-31 will be given the first right for alternate spots.

Alternate Drivers’ Invitations will be sent at the same time as the Qualified Drivers Invitations and we request that drivers who receive Alternate Drivers Invitations, submit their forms with payment immediately to hold their place in line. In the eventuality any prepaid drivers do not make it in (we do not anticipate the initial 25 spots to all be used), refunds will be issued in the same form/type of the original payment (check or paypal).

For those drivers wishing to apply for further alternate spots (if you did not finish in the top 31 in Hutto,TX), resume’s will be accepted starting 3/5/2020. Your resume must include your name, address, email, phone number, ROAR number, and your expiration date as well as years of experience in the class and major events you have participated in 1/8 Fuel Off Road. Please send this information to administrator@roarracing.com using “2020 1/8 Fuel IC World Championship Alternate Request” as the subject of the email.

If your qualifications are accepted as an alternate, priority will be given to those with recent experience in A-Mains or Finals at recent ROAR Nationals or IFMAR WC events. If we ultimately receive more resume’s than spots, openings will be filled based on the date we receive the completed Alternate Drivers Invitation form and payment. Paid Alternate Invitations above the number of allocated spots to ROAR will be placed on a wait list.

For all drivers submitting, your ROAR membership must be valid through the last day of the event, September 5, 2020. If your membership expires before then, you must renew to be considered. Go to www.roarracing.com/join to renew. As always, your renewal will be for a period of one year or extend your current membership for one more year.

Entry fee is $400USD. If you receive an invitation, there will be a $100 cancellation fee for those who withdraw from the event. Those who withdraw prior to having their entry confirmed or who are on the wait list and not ultimately selected will receive a full refund.

Memberships are not refundable.
