2023 10th SCALE OFFROAD WORLDS ANNOUNCEMENT

ROAR is pleased to announce that HobbyAction RC Raceway in Chandler, AZ will host the 2023 IFMAR 10th Scale Offroad Worlds on September 9th through the 16th, 2023. Due to Covid, this prestigious World Championship event has not been held since 2019 so racers throughout the world are more anxious than ever to claim the crown and HobbyAction provides the perfect setting for this world class event.
ROAR rules state that results from the prior year’s National Championship will be used to determine which ROAR members receive automatic invitations to World Championships. As host of the event, ROAR will receive more slots than typical for the event. The Executive Committee has decided to extend automatic invitations to those who qualified for the A and B mains at both the 2022 Electric Offroad 10th Scale Carpet Nationals (held at Northwest Hobbies) and the 2022 Electric Offroad 10th Scale Dirt Nationals (held at SDRC). Invitations will be sent by email to those racers by the end of December with a response and payment due by the end of January. Entry fee for this event is $450 for one class and $500 for both classes.
Beginning February 1st, racers who have not automatically qualified but are interested in racing at the 2023 10th Scale Offroad Worlds may submit a brief racing resume containing years of experience and major 10th Scale Offroad events they have competed in. Resume should also include your name, ROAR membership #, address, email and phone number to administrator@roarracing.com or mail to ROAR Administrator PO Box 814546 Dallas, TX 75381-4546.
Once IFMAR confirms the total number of spaces available for ROAR members, applications for alternate entries will be emailed to racers who have submitted resumes. Preference will be given to those with past experience in Worlds and Nationals A and B mains so long as requests are received prior to any announced deadline. Any remaining spots will be filled in the order requests are received by racers whose resumes demonstrate the ability required to compete at this level.
Valid ROAR membership through the last day of the event is required. Payment of entry fees will be required at the time applications are returned to ROAR.
